Great little worker

I needed a scanner for both photos and documents that would work with my Mac. This one does great. Only issue was I had to find new drivers to make it work. I pray that Canon will keep making drivers for iOS and make a WiFi version.

Great until the software doesn't work anymore

stopped scanning with CaptureTouch software. Keeps saying cannot find scanner, check power and cables but they are fine. Can't find any info on how to fix the issue.

Soooo much better than scanning on the copy machine

I love this scanner. I used to have to scan mail/letters on the copy machine, which meant scanning one page at a time to accommodate pages of different sizes. This scanner makes it so much easier - I can just put everything in (envelope too) and it scans both sides in seconds. It saves me a ton of time.

Love it

I bought this about 4 years ago for my MAC and I still love it. Today I tried to use my scanner and it said that "R40.ds" is damaged so I couldn't use my scanner. I called Canon support. The support desk person was really patient and nice and walked me through the proper steps! So glad that I called. My scanner is working fine now

Great scanner!

This was my first high capacity scanner (I had only used printer scanners previously). I love this scanner! It has made document retention a heck of a lot easier for me. The scan quality is great, the speed is great and the feeder tray capacity works great for my needs.

Worked well with Windows 10 but not Windows 11

It worked well before we got a new Windows 11 PC. Now it says "Problem with TWAIN Driver" 1. Reinstalled driver a number of times - no difference 2. Canon website gives server error when tried to download latest driver, which is 6 months old anyway. 3. even after reinstalling to the newer driver, it still doesn't connect and gives errors. Apparently, Canon's software did not update the driver and left the old Microsoft-supplied driver from 2019. 4. As such, the scanner is UNUSABLE

Piece of junk!

Unable to download twain driver for MAC. Highly frustrating and contacting support is too much of a hassle. They should really fix this issue.
