Assembly of the desk could not be completed due to a defective part (the damaged part is structural, not cosmetic.) I contacted customer service, sent photos of the damage, and was told a replacement part would take 2 to 4 months to receive, as this part is out of stock. As an alternative, they offered a $20 credit for the inconvenience. When I declined, they upped the credit offer to $35 so I could go out and buy some wood locally (that would in no way match the desk’s color/finish, btw), and get it cut to the correct size on my own. Right now, this desk is sitting partially assembled. No full refund/return option was offered. This desk cost several hundred dollars (even on sale), is totally non-usable, and now stands partially assembled and therefore cannot even be packed/stored in a box, leaving many heavy desk pieces and much of the hardware packets unprotected from further damage or loss, while we wait for a replacement part, which will not be provided for many months (if indeed it ever comes back into stock at all.) Customer Service offered two (totally unhelpful) scripted solution options that would in no way solve the problem in any reasonable or timely way.
