Almost great, licensing issues

This TV is a good solution for if there is isn’t a suitable place to place a tv. The 27” screen is plenty big enough as you can position it close to you. The inbuilt speakers and weak, but with the bundled soundbar works really well for a spacious and vibrant at bedroom tv volumes (needs to wired to the tv to turn on and off with the tv in my experience). However, the screen, being lcd, struggles with producing dark/black colours and this very notice when watching in a dark room, such as a bedroom at night. An Oled screen would be far superior in my opinion. Further, the TV lacks, unlike my other lg tvs, access to channel 4, ITVX and my5 apps apparently due to lg not establishing the proper licences. I find this completely unacceptable and I makes the tv not fit for the UK market in my opinion. Now I know lg no longer support major uk platforms , I definitely won’t be replacing my main TVs with lg products.

Battery self-drains quickly while tv is off.

Major battery problems with parasitic drain when off. 100% battery to below 50% in four days while the tv is off! To charge it with usb-c takes over 20 hours. Is this normal for this tv? It makes it unusable unless on the stand and close to an outlet. Great idea. With some tweaking, the picture can be decent if you have reasonable expectations given the specs. The stand rolls well. The cover/case also works well (except you have to remove two rubber insert feet which can be lost). But if you ever want to use it on a desk or table without the stand and ac charging, this is what happens. You have 100% charge. A few days later, you turn it on and only have 50 ish % charge. You use it as a monitor or a wired tv and it drains in an hour and a half. You plug it in to charge via usb-c and have to wait a full day after only using it for 90 minutes. Unless I have a defective unit, this battery tech feels like it's from 12 years ago. It's unacceptable. Such a good idea and a unique product in the market. I would happily pay more if it just worked.

Didn't expect this to be a game changer

I've had the StanbyME 2 for just over a month now, and I genuinely can't imagine going back. I know that sounds dramatic, but hear me out. The whole point of this thing is that it moves with you — and it actually delivers. In the morning, it's by my bed so I can catch up on news while waking up. By evening, I roll it over to the couch for movies. And when I'm cooking? It's right there in the kitchen showing me recipes at eye level. No more propping up my phone or squinting at a tablet. What surprised me most is how smooth and effortless it is to move around. It glides so easily — repositioning it is effortless. The touchscreen is also super responsive — feels natural, like using a giant tablet. The freedom of not being tied to one spot in your home is something I didn't know I needed. Could have a better design

The web browser is very very slow. The battery only lasts 4 hours. They could have done a better job of design by having it able to access the google play store. You are limited to what apps you can download. There are only a few apps that support the WEBOS.

Very happy with it - just understand what it is!

I had the first StandByMe and like it, but it's heavy! I think it's 28 pounds where this one is only 10. I'm happy with this - it's what you should expect if you know anything about these televisions. I wish the resolution was better, but the technology isn't there for a battery powered TV of this size. My only suggestion is that they should include the carry strap because it's awkard to move around off that stand if you don't have it. I'd buy it again!
