The dress is very much like the picture. The top does stretch some since the front ruched fabric is cut on the bias and the top linings are stretchy. So, the top front of this dress will accommodate a person heavier chested than the model shown. Since the top stretches and the skirt is rather full because of the pleats, this dress should fit a curvy build just fine. The waist does not stretch much since it is sewn to the skirt, which will prevent bias stretch at the waist. The skirt is not lined but the fabric has adequate body without lining, a rather heavy hand, I would say. The dress has ample hidden side pockets for phone, lipstick, compact, etc. The fabric is a lovely golden metallic brocade or jacquard with a lot of texture - what I would describe as bubble brocade. The background is steel blue or silver blue and the pinkish color lends itself toward lilac. The ties are sewn into the zipper in back and can be tied in front as shown on the model, or they can be wrapped around the front so the bow is tied at the zipper. The bodice has bust and side boning with elastic gripper tape sewn into the top edge to keep the bodice top opening conformed to the upper chest area above the breast. There are no bust forms in the dress; the bodice ruching is designed to contain the breasts and lay in lovely Folds across the fullness. Of course, the design of the dress will allow one to wear a strapless bra or one can add bust forms. Clever design and lovely dress.
