An excellent game!

A great family game! The components are quality. The instructions take some time to figure out, so account for extra time on your first game. But once the instructions are understood, it’s a fast and fun race to best your opponents. This game stays near the top of our most-played pile.

OK game

We have enjoyed playing Honga. It has an interesting premise but it has been a little hard for our girls to grasp. I would say that the game is definitely for children older than 10. There are so many ways that you can play even I was getting a little confused on all the fish, berries and resources. I would suggest watching a video on how to play before starting. I had how to cash your rewards in wrong and it was confusing for me even as an adult. The theme and game boards are very cute and give a lot to making the game fun. I just wish it was a little easier to understand.

Very fun

Overall all this game was fun to play with my kiddos. Once we figured out how play which honestly we kinda struggled but once we started playing it was a total blast. Definitely recommend for the older kids.

Not just for kids!

The youngest person I've played this with is 24 yrs old, however, you can play with kids young as 8 (per the box). Plays up to 5 players, which is nice. Easy to learn, fun to play, with a variety of things to do for scoring, an excellent family-weight game. It's become a family favorite. Highly recommended for any skill level board gamer!

Great family fun

I received Honga from tryitsampling in exchange for my honest feedback. Game was super easy to learn and more importantly fun to play. Components are very nice and the decisions in the game are varied enough to keep you wanting to replay the game over and over. It was a lot of fun to play with the family.

Good family fun

I like that this game can be set up so quickly! It is appropriate for those ages 8 and above. It is most definitely a game the entire family can play. The instructions are easy to follow and the colorful game board is a nice touch. We had fun playing this as a family!

Nice little strategy game

Good strategy game for beginners and older children. Love how it keeps both old and young entertained and engaged. Very good instruction booklet that made it easy to understand how to play. Children easily understood as well.

Bring on the Family Fun!

This was a great addition to our family game night. My 9 year old daughter really enjoyed the game once we all understood the rules. We've played it several times since the first time and will continue to do so.
