Fun but could use more challenges

This game had slightly confusing rules so it took us a minute to figure it out. Once it was figured out it ended up being a pretty fast paced game of risk and luck. I really enjoyed it but I’m not sure my kids were as into it. I feel like it could use some more features to make it more difficult to win.

Had Such Potential!

I’m honestly really disappointed in this game. It had the potential to be a great game. My daughter absolutely loves axolotls and was over the moon to receive this game. The construction is amazing quality. The game board is thick and sturdy. The game pieces are painted wood. The directions were clear, easy to understand, and had examples. The game was fun the first time around, but this is what I realized. First, the game is based on counting, but only within 11 (ex: 9+2 =11). Developmentally, this is not appropriate for kids 8+ (as the box states this game is for). It’s too easy. Secondly, once my daughter, who is 8, realized that all she had to do was “move in” every time it was her turn, and she would win the game by getting the most stars (cards), she wasn’t interested anymore. Third, and least important, the pink axolotls are painted purple, not pink…

Engaging play and learning!

This game is so cute! It has space and axolotls which appeals to so many kids, that alone makes them want to play it! Math isn't my greatest subject so it's helping me brush up too!

Cute and fun

This game is a lot of fun! My one complaint is that the instructions and explanations could be a bit clearer but we figured it out. Once we got going we were flying through and it was great. Our almost 7 year old could definitely play and easily do the math required. It’s a really cute, fun game. We loved the theming.

It’s a hard game

The Galaxolotl game cards have a really cool concept and the artwork is fun and unique. The card quality itself is decent, and the theme is creative. However, the game is harder to understand than expected. The instructions aren’t very clear, and it took a long time to figure out how to actually play correctly. It might be better for experienced players, but for casual or first-time players it can feel confusing and a bit frustrating. Overall, not bad, but the learning curve took away from the fun.

We played Galaxolotl and it was an instant hit. The artwork is adorable, the rules are easy to learn, and it’s actually fun for both kids and adults. Games are quick, low-pressure, and perfect for family game night. Such a cute game! highly recommend!!

Great childrens learning game

Such a cute game! Especially for a child that loves axolotl and space. My child caught on pretty quickly which is a great plus. It's not super confusing for a child. They played this game three times in a row and absolutely love it.

So cute!

My daughter loves Axolotls! When she saw the game she was ready to play. The rules are pretty easy and it was like a math game to make sums of the number in play. It was way to set up and the little characters or acólito chips are so cute! My daughter liked it and she’s 7. The box is light so it’s easy to move around
