horribly inadequate quality materials
one of the lower steps was nearly cracked through along one of the channels. rather than return i decided to perform a glue up with some wood glue and clamps. the hardware is ridiculously cheap material. stripped out more than one hex drive on the screws with hardly full necessary torque to secure properly. the included hex drive wrench broke again with minimal torque. when i realized how cheap the materials are by design of this item i decided to do glue ups on every joint. im a fairly careful and mindful user of anything i have around my home so it may last for a while. but i hardly suspect it will surpass its planned obsolescence lifespan.
