No baffle boxing!

I just opened my eagerly anticipated 100% down, 100% cotton Macys brand duvet. (I’m a hot sleeper and anything polyester or microfiber cooks me.) Of course I loved its light weight and the fact that down is a natural temperature regulator. But my heart sank after I took a closer look at its construction. The online description says that there is a “baffle box design.” There clearly are no baffle boxes. Some very faint seams appear to create box-like designs, but the 36 oz of down has ultimate free rein in your duvet. What that means is that the down will collect in all of the areas in your duvet where you are not. I owned a similar duvet, and I found that it became useless in a short time. Redistributing the down was futile. Shame on you, Macys for your false advertising. Online shopping is exhausting.

Smells

Wanted to love this comforter but it smells like a barnyard.My husband threw away the packaging so I am stuck with it but I can not get rid of the smell.

Atrociously Heavy and Smells

There is no way in he!! this comforter is “lightweight”?!? We’ll never be able to sleep, it is super heavy, smells like urine, and cotton(?) I’ve never felt this substantial, certain it will not breathe one bit. TOTAL waste of money! I used to get all of my down comforters from Macys, not any more!!☹️

Cheap Duvet

Within 10 months of using this there is a 5 in. hole in the seam and feathers are everywhere. Macy's refused to do anything and said it is outside the 30 days. Do not buy.

This comforter is a good improvement over our old one. Plenty long and wide for our king bed, and the loft of the down provides excellent warmth for an AZ winter.
