Disappointed with this expensive tool

I was delighted to see that the 2. 0 was available. It has some nice features, but my main complaint is the blade is not thin enough and sharp enough to handle simple vegetables such as potatoes and onions. The finger guard is way too big for my hand. I have had many mandolines both stationary and hand held, this is not what I expected from you. Please contact me with your comments

Save your fingers

Lightweight and the handle feature is very convenient. Love that I can angle this mandoline. The other feature that I love is the stopper thing that prevents me from slicing my finger. I stick that into the cucumber and can slice to the very end

An excellent investment made for my kitchen

This is truly a well built mandolin. Sturdy and very sharp blades. Love the food guard. It spikes the item your slicing so it can not slip. Most are afraid to use a mandolin of any type but this one will calm any nerves you may have. Stays put on the counter. Great hand guard. Lots of different cuts available. Waffle cut is one of my favorites. I Air Fry waffle fries any time I make burgers. Family loves them. Perfectly cut waffle fries and you control the thickness. Mandolin folds with hand guard tucked neatly in the back. Easy to clean and store. I keep it in the top drawer because I’m always using it from slicing carrots to making broccoli slaw. Highly recommended.

Great for a small kitchen

Had for years! We lost the safety cover and had to replace it. We upgraded to a new OXO but love this one. Stores easily, remained sharp for years and takes up very little space.
