Don't listen to parents suggestions
Would be a 5 star if they M&D added a clear (or any!) lid on this non-recyclable "storage" box like parents have been asking for for over 2 years. Would not recommend because of this

Joey to the Rescue!
My grandson loves magnets on the refrigerator so when I saw these I thought they might be a hit. Was I ever right. He loves putting the magnetic suits on Joey as they take off to some imagined emergency. What a great thought builder.

If they have lids.
These boxes need lockable lids or covers. There are so many little pieces that storing them in kids rooms for easy access is just a disaster waiting to happen. We ordered these for a long car ride and I ended up putting them in a bag. You have many toys in these compartment boxes that NEED LIDS.

I want to love this toy. My kid loves it. The little magnetic dress-up pieces are cute and engaging. But let’s be real, this thing was clearly designed by someone who’s never met an actual toddler. No lid. No case. No magnetic storage board. Just a shallow open tray full of small pieces that instantly explode across the house the moment it’s touched. Melissa & Doug: you do know toddlers exist, right? These sets are marketed as neat and Montessori-friendly, but in reality they’re a one-way ticket to chaos. If you don’t want puzzle pieces mixed up, stepped on, or mysteriously eaten by your vacuum, you basically have to create your own aftermarket storage system. Ziplocs. Velcro. Tiny bins. Duct tape. It’s ridiculous. A simple magnetic base or a snap-on lid would’ve made this a win. Instead, it’s another well-intentioned toy collecting dust or scattered under the couch. Parents: if you value your sanity, ask your relatives not to gift you more puzzles. Melissa & Doug, call me when your designers get trapped in a room with a real toddler for 3 hours. 😤
