Damaged

Similar to other customer experience, the product arrived damaged. The hinges to the doors were broken. The jewelry box is beautiful and is what was requested as a gift. It took an hour on the phone with Macy's to make the exchange. There was slight damage on the back of the exchanged jewelry box, but we decided to keep. Macy's needs to go through their stock of this product or discontinue carrying. The lack of quality control is a black mark on Macy's brand reputation.

damaged on arrival

The door hinge was damaged upon delivery. Very disappointed. Had horrible experience w customer service rep that was not in the USA. Going on vacation in 1 days and didn’t want to start like this. Do not recommend this product

Damaged

I was very excited to finally order a new jewelry box, as the current one no longer holds all my jewelry. And the price was a very good deal. The item was securely packaged with plastic and styrofoam. But as soon as I took all the wrapping off, I noticed the damage. Like it had been hit with a blunt object or dropped on its edge. If it had been on the back side, I might have decided to keep it, but it was right in the front. I am not going to pay full price for something that is not even wood.

The one I received did not have any hints of brown like the picture online showed. It was completely black, and quite ugly in person. It looked and felt like a cheap piece of IKEA furniture. My wife did not like it so we returned it.

I picked this box because it had plenty of drawers that pulled straight out, with only one lift-up area.
