It's an improvement over the original M65

As an old former Marine, I love the slash pockets on this. It is a good base layer jacket for spring, fall, and light winter. An XL will fit a 6' tall man of 200 lbs well, with room to spare for under-layering in cold weather, and with a good Irish sweater and a long sleeve Henley, will keep you reasonably warm in temperatures down to zero. The front pockets and zipper are durable and really show its military M65 origins. The fabric is breathable and reasonably durable, but does not hold up to rough use more than two years. For the price, you really can't go wrong.

Mid fall jacket

I like it, I needed a jacket that was warmer than a lined windbreaker and lighter than a winter coat for mid to late fall.
