Cute but Junk

I really wanted to love these earrings as they are really cute. Yet after having received two pair of defective earrings, one I already returned, this pair is going back too. The lever doesn't work to close the earring back. It either goes too far forward or too far back, which means the lever will eventually break and render the earring useless. Since I don't have disposable income to buy disposable earrings I'm done trying to exchange them.
