I couldn’t fit all of it in to one photo but I have to stay this set is stunning and practical. I love the stainless steel finish with glass lids. The handles are comfortable and easy to handle. I do like to use oil when I cook so I don’t see any issue with food sticking.

Decent Cookware
This is a beautiful beginner set of cookware. I love the lightweight stainless steel. This set is decent for light cooking; sauces, soups and the like. My simple syrup did nicely in the 1.5 quart saucepan. Spaghetti noodles cooked up perfectly in the 6 quart pasta pot. The pasta pot is deep enough for full length pasta and holds a good amount of food. Although I washed before using there was a small amount of residue around the rim of the pot once my dish was completed. I did find the strainer lid a bit awkwardly fitting initially. It did not lock in place. However, it was sufficient in straining the pasta. Unfortunately, one of the tabs on the pasta pot broke off. It was lying on the counter. I regret to think of the what-ifs concerning this issue. It could have been chewed on or swallowed unknowingly had it broken off in food. The frypans are too thin for even light frying. The food sticks to the surface and scorches. However, the fry pans served my sautéed and steamed vegetables well. I liked the variety of the bamboo utensils and the sizing was perfect. All pieces provided easy cleanup and storage.

Perfect kitchen starter kit
Loved this set! Very functional and perfect for someone who needs a comprehensive kitchen set for a variety of sizes of pots and pans. They work beautifully for so many different purposes, and just look good visually too! Cleaning has been easier than expected. I was worried that there’d be a lot of residue on the stainless steel after cooking but that hasn’t been the case at all.

Homemaker
Only used once. Perfect cooking, nothing burnt. Boiled 3 cups of water in 3 1/2 min. Cleaned well. A few scorch marks remained. Perfect set, giving me only the pots I need and use.
Good variety, some drawbacks
I have very mixed feelings about this set. I like the variety that comes in the set as well as the bamboo kitchen utensils, but there are a couple of issues that I had that made me takeoff a couple of stars. Pros: Good variety of pants. The large pot has a locking lid. The large pot lid has holes to allow you to drain the liquid for pasta. The bamboo utensils are really nice quality. Cons: There are some really sharp edges on the pans’ handles and interlocking lid for the large pot. The handles get really hot while you’re cooking! The heating surface seem to be a little bit uneven while I was cooking. The pot heat went from 0 to 100 really fast and started to burn the food. A piece for the inner locking lid for the large pot broke off after the first use. I do plan to continue to use the pans in the bamboo utensils, but I don’t know if I would recommend this set to family and friends.

Great starter set
Everything you need for a great intro to stainless steel cooking. These are ready for action and while they aren’t the heaviest, seem durable and made to last. Even heating, easy to clean, no toxins and safe for our whole family!

Disappointing
I really wanted to love this set. I just moved into a new apartment, and I needed a new set of pots really badly. I’m hyperconscious of the issues with nonstick coatings, so I would never use anything but stainless steel or cast-iron. that said, I can’t recommend these. They’re stainless steel, sure, but they’re so incredibly thin that the larger frying pan came with a big dent. I would say, “OK, yeah, they’re thin, but that just means they’re super light!” except there were a bunch of other problems. The biggest issue is with the frying pans. Although they’re both reasonable sizes from lip to lip, the amount of flat bottom is actually super small. It’s a tiny circle of flat, and then a big curve up to the lip. (I added pictures to show what I mean). That means you have barely any surface area to try to get a sear on a piece of meat of any size. I can’t imagine a piece of steak that would fit in this. Is there potentially some use for a pan this shape? yeah, probably. But this bills itself as a “basic essentials” set, and a basic essential is a frying pan with a flat bottom that you can actually fry things in. Another issue is with another part that I was super excited by and really wanted to love, which was the strainer lid. I attached it correctly, and tried to strain my pasta through it, and at first it seemed to work, although it was slow, but then of course the lid just popped right out and off and half of my pasta ended up in the sink. So, totally useless.

Good basic starter set.
The Basic Essentials 14 piece Stainless Steel Cookware Set is good for your basic cooking. I have a gas stove and find this cookware cooks best on medium to low heat. The frypans are best for things like grilled cheese, quesadillas and like foods. The covered saucepans are good for cooking pasta, boiling vegetables, potatoes etc. The pasta pot with strainer works pretty well but you’ll want to be careful that the cover is securely on as it does not lock securely. The variety of 6 bamboo tools are really nice. The set is very lightweight and can scratch easily if you don’t use the proper utensils provided (or similar ones). As any other cookware, you want to hand wash these and never leave them soaking in the sink.
