Much better than I expected

I bought this dress with little hope of keeping it after reading all reviews but the style checked all the boxes for an outdoor summer wedding. It has exceeded my expectations. Yes it is thin and unlined but its exactly what I need for a summer wedding. It drapes beautifully and once steamed and altered a bit it is a perfect dress in my opinion. I ordered 2 sizes and kept the smaller one. It does need some minor alterations in order to make it look like it fits the model. I am a size a typical 6 for reference. I did need to purchase the dress twice as the first one I received was sewn a bit off. If it was a heavier fabric it would not drape as beautifully. My only complaint on this dress is it has no pockets. That addition (or at least 1 pocket) would make the dress perfect. I wearing it with Betsey Johnson embroidered shoes - the green in the vines on the shoes matches the dress perfectly.

Pretty but…

The color of the dress is much more green than I expected. It seems to be more subdued and on the taupe side displayed online, so that surprised me upon arrival. The sizing is off. I purchased my normal size 6 based on the size chart. I’m small busted on top, size 29 waist and curvier on the bottom, yet I was able to wiggle it around my butt, and could not zip it around the bust area. The material is satin so there is NO stretch and I didn’t want to force it closed. In person it seemed a bit cheaply made and I thought for the $$ I paid that the quality would be better, however it was not…the dress is being returned.

Nice color but that’s all.

Really weird fit. The detail on the rear are really hard to keep straight and it bunched very funny on the bum portion.
