Coat was out of stock and they still sold it to me

Honestly this was really embarrassing and not something I ever expected out of Macy’s. I ordered this coat and a ^completely different coat* arrived. When I called they said my coat was actually out of stock which is not how this works. If it was out of stock when I ordered it, why did they let me buy it? I can’t believe how disorganized this was. If I could give less than 1 star I would.
