Gorgeous but extremely tight dress

This dress is absolutely gorgeous and well made, including the beautiful fabric and pattern, but sadly I had to return it due to it running extremely tight. I purchased the M/L, which should easily fit me, although it didn’t even come close. The length, neckline, and armholes were fine. I am 5’5” and typically a size 8 or M.
