Nice dishes

I purchased 8 of these, along with the 16" platter. The gift recipients loved the set (as did I). The soft gray-green color is beautiful and can work with most color schemes and styles. Although the dishes are a good size, they are flat with a small lip-- great for appetizers, desserts, small bites--less for things that are piled high and spread out. The quality is very good, the finish is matte, and they are safe for basically everything, i.e. dishwasher, microwave, oven, etc. I like that they are made in Portugal. They shipped directly from the manufacturer in a box of six, with 2 of them wrapped in bubble wrap. I thought that was odd since Bloomingdales sells in sets of 4, and made wrapping annoying because I needed to find an additional box, but that was a minor inconvenience.
