This rinse-off foaming cleanser water-activates into a cushiony mousse to hydrate, mattify, soften and cleanse while respecting the skin's moisture balance. The formula preserves skin's barrier function and hydrolipidic film. Powered by purifying meadowsweet extract plus gentian and lemon balm extracts (sourced from Clarins' innovative, open-air laboratory in the French Alps, Le Domaine Clarins), the product softens and soothes while micro-pearls made of a derivative of salicylic acid help exfoliate and control excess oil.

Filmy coating residue

They changed the ingredients. The old one has salicylic acid and they discontinued it. This new one does not foam as much as the old one, has a cream like substance and leaves a filmy coating on the face/ skin which feels like rubber when rubbed. Looks like I’ll have to find another cleanser, I was really happy with the old product.

Light yet Effective Foaming Cleanser 9/10

The best facial cleanser I’ve found in a while! You only need to use a small amount and it foams up quite nicely and really spreads. I find it has a very light pleasant scent and leaves my face feeling physically refreshed. I do find the small beads to be an ineffective exfoliant and I would love to see Clarins make a new exfoliating product!

The foaming power is back!

I used to use the foaming cleanser with tamarind for years. I simply loved it. However, the reformulation made me so disappointed. Then, I noticed a new description and got a sample which led to purchasing this full sized product! Feels like I got my old beloved cleanser back!

Why change the formula???!

I used to love this face wash — it was my go-to for oily, acne-prone skin. But the new formula is such a letdown. The texture and smell are off, and it doesn’t clean my face anymore. It just leaves a weird residue behind. Really disappointed! Hope they bring back the old formula!

She’s different :(

This has been reformulated and I don’t know why they ruined a perfect cleanser. I’m not sure what was added//taken out… I recycle my boxes.. (waste of packaging btw). Anyways, this cleanser kept my skin clear for a year. Whatever they’ve done broke me out instantly. It’s more green. Less of a menthol, minty feel that refreshes. Needless to say; will not be repurchasing.
