definition of thermal?

perhaps this is where i made my mistake....i expected this thermal shirt to be heavier. in this case, the material is actually so thin that i can see my hand through it. the finish is thermal. if you like the thermal look, this is the shirt to get. if you expect a heavier material, a warmer shirt....walk away.
