We received this flatware for our wedding. At some point after a few months of regular use, we realized that not all of the pieces were alike. Some were heavier and slightly broader, making them easier to hold than others. The heavier forks (in particular) felt better balanced as well. Upon studying them more closely, we found that those pieces made in China were the lighter weight, thinner ones, while those made in Vietnam were the heavier weight ones. The shapes of the ends differ between the manufacturers as well. I wish we had studied them more carefully when we first received them, as I would have returned the Chinese ones. I recommend others to check their product carefully when they make the purchase or receive these as a gift. I recommend only the Vietnamese ones.

I love this silverware
I'll start by saying I got an amazing deal on this silverware with multiple concurrent discounts, so I may be a bit biased. That being said, this is exceptionally lovely silverware. I would describe it as clean and modern, yet at the same time quite graceful. It feels high-quality and substantial in the hand without being overly heavy. Dansk got it just right with this one. Go ahead and order it--I don't think you'll be disappointed.
Caution
The first sets we received as wedding gifts were very nice quality and weight. They came labeled as "made in China," individually wrapped in Dansk labeled plastic with an extra plastic sheath on the butter knife and were then rubberbanded together inside a brown cardboard box which was inside the blue and white Dansk box. However, when we ordered 8 sets to complete our registry they were labeled as "made in Vietnam" and though the box looked the same from the outside, the quality was not the same. The pieces came packaged in plain plastic (not labeled Dansk), even 2 pieces in some (which allows them to rub on each other) and not rubberbanded together leaving them to move around in the cardboard box. Some knives had thinner blades or were cut slightly differently. It was very obvious when we began placing them in our silver box. The edges were not as smoothly filed on many pieces leaving sharper points or edges. The most obvious defect was that some pieces had flat handle ends when they should be angled. Macy's was great in returning and reordering the sets for us. Hopefully we receive the better quality sets this time.

I have purchased and returned multiple times silverware that I thought I would like and did not the minute I opened the package, but not the case with this set! LOVE at first sight, the weight is nice and it is sleek and feels good in your hand. I wish they made a hostess set that included more pieces. I would buy them too. I highly reccommend!

The weight of each piece is nice. They also feel good in your hand. These have a modern look to them, but also go with anything. I can't wait to use them.

Attractive, substantial, durable - great quality for the price, and a nice balance of classic + contemporary. We use this for everyday but it's nice enough to get by on more formal occasions as well. Have the full set and hostess, and am now looking for the harder to find pie cutter.
