Not designed for someone 5'2"

Love the brand (DKNY), the color and style; however, the coat is designed for a taller woman (I am 5'2" and purchased a Medium). I was so disappointed when I got it home and discovered the proportions were off for my body type. The length was okay, but the waistline was too low, the sleeves needed to be shortened, and the hood was constrictive when buttoned. I returned the coat. I tried it on at the store, and the salesperson told me it looked fine on me. I should have trusted my instincts.
