Cute but cut poorly

This magenta dress has the ingredients for a lovely dress but misses the mark. I like the square neckline which looks contemporary. The fabric has a bit of stretch which is comfortable and it’s cute but the seams and darts are all wrong on me. The darts at the bustling are much too far laterally and I don’t fill out that area. The dart on the right is inverted and no amount of steaming will correct that issue. The dress has an empire design with seams under the bust that quickly angle strangely down and around to the back. I ordered my usual size 2, which fit, it’s just not flattering on me.
