Great looking, comfortable fit, straightforward design. Looking at them online, I was worried about them looking or feeling cheap because they aren't leather. I'm pleased to say I like the material.The zipper area is stiff enough that I can leave the bootie partially unzipped while wearing it. This allows me to slide my socked foot in & out of the boot easily. This is a workaround I use because (heads up design team) the zipper is on the outside of the boot, so it's harder to reach than it would be on the inside. I'd have to zip it fully if wearing them with a skirt or dress, but my ankle & foot are secure as I walk regardless. I don't like my shoes to move around sloppily as I walk, & these do not because they are cut to be close to the foot. They don't rub anywhere. This boot has only standard padding. Otherwise I think stability would be impacted with that zipper partially down, as your foot tried to balance. Another word on comfort, then, having said that about padding: This is my go-to footwear for everyday wear this winter. They look great with jeans & because they aren't so expensive, I'm less worried about them in a little snow.
