Ratings & Reviews

Here's what customers think
  • The hot rollers provide good curl results for those with thicker hair, creating voluminous and long-lasting curls.
  • However, some users with finer or thinner hair found the rollers too heavy and hot, causing discomfort and leading to issues like scalp irritation and creases in the hair.
  • The curling performance was mixed, with some users reporting the curls did not last as expected.

The rumors are true. I’ve

The rumors are true. I’ve used hot rollers for four decades now (since I was ten). I can’t believe a brand with this stellar reputation let this product out this out on the shelf. Maybe this set is for the thick hair people out there… but it ain’t for 43 year old me who has lost those luscious locks years ago. I look like I’m that ten year old girl again who doesn’t know how to use rollers (leaves horrible marks from the clips)… after years of experience, and the PAIN this set causes in my neck due to the weight is awful. What a waste of money. First. . the weight alone is a no. But do not waste your money if your hair doesn’t get compliments on how thick it is.

Too Hot!

These rollers may be fine if you have longer hair or very thick hair. They are awkward to clasp to your scalp and are very hot and burn as they touch your scalp. The results are minimal.

Hot rollers

Great concept, but if you have thin hair, don’t bother buying these…no temperature control so they burn your scalp and they’re too heavy for thin hair

Too heavy, hard to keep on

I have a few Frybar hair tools that I really like. Macys had this hot roller set on sale for around 50% off so I bought them. Just as other reviewers have said, the rollers are heavy! You have to keep head still or they can fall out. You can’t put rollers on vertically or they will fall off. Also they can be too hot on scalp if u put them on a certain way. I’m surprised Drybar hasn’t improved this product. On the plus side…I do like how my hair turns out after suffering thru using them.
