Run VERY Small

I ordered these shoes in a size 10, Extra Wide. Prior reviews noted that the shoes ran either true to size or on the large side. I normally wear a 10W, but I ordered the extra wide because of the style of the shoe. I could barely squeeze my foot into these. I thought they looked small, but when I placed them next to my other size 10 shoes, they were more than 2 inches shorter! Either they were mismarked or the sizing is not consistent. Also, they were quite stiff; not what I would expect from a "comfortable leather" shoe.
