What's Happened to Eileen Fisher?

The material and tailoring of this jacket was poor, and represents a general decline in the quality of Eileen Fisher clothing since the company changed hands. Instead of buttons and buttonholes, it had large unattractive snaps that contrasted with the dark color of the jacket which meant that it could never be worn unbuttoned. I ordered a size L and assumed it would fit over a blouse or sweater because it is described as a "jacket." Instead, It was skimpy and unlined, more like a sweater, which made it difficult to get over my arms when wearing a cotton blouse underneath. I know price is always a factor - especially now - but it's sad to see the brand lose it reputation for good quality that we have grown to expect. Bring back Eileen!

ELEGANT COLOR!

This beautiful jacket surpassed my expectations. I rarely wear green, but serpentine created an elegant new color palette for me.

I bought this in Sea Salt, to match my hair—a sure-fire recipe for garnering compliments and brightening my spirits on cool, cloudy days. I've yet to layer it under one of my longer EF boiled wool coats but will do so now that winter is here. The closed front and tall collar will keep me cozy and looking chic.

Warm professional wear

The black color is not a true black but rather a deep greenish/ grey. The cut and style is a nice alternative to a traditional blazer. It's warm enough to wear for a cool office or a fall jacket. These items are pricey even on sale.
