pretty well made sweater but confusing pockets

This is a high quality sweater, as one would expect from Eileen Fisher. It is very large, so size down even more than you usually do for this brand. However, it has a confusing thing. It looks like it has pockets. But they are sewn shut. The seam is so strong and careful that I am afraid to rip it out and open the pocket. I think the seam that needs to be removed is marked in red in the attached photo. But it really is unclear

Surprisingly stiff and rough fabric

I wanted to like this jacket, looking for something like it, but just could not. In spite of the description, the fabric is not soft, and the fit is almost formless. I did love the snaps, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the other features.

fabric stiffer than expected

Seemed ideal for travel. Expected cotton boucle to be soft; it is quite harsh . Appreciate need for polyester so cotton won't go baggy but feel is not good. Also very large. Medium was too big for me (40 inch chest and hips).

This jacket was enormous. I usually wear a M or PL depending on the style. But this was so off the dimensions of the other EF pieces I've bought over the last 30 years that I thought it was not worth spending time exchanging it for a S.
