I received this as part of an Influenster campaign. I recall Elizabeth Arden as a beauty brand from the 80s and I am also vegetarian so my expectations were low and I was a little reluctant to use the product. But it is truly a protectant cream! You can really smell the lanolin in it, but it’s not like slathering talllow on your skin. In the end the smell fades and you don’t really smell it after a while. I use it at night on my hands, elbows, and feet before bed and it really works well to soften my dry, ashy skin. When this tube is gone I will definitely buy it!

Very thick but feels nice
I enjoyed using this cream on the sides of my nose where I get dry spots as well as under my eyes for a nice refresh and give some more life. I will say this cream is very thick and does not soak into skin that easily so I liked to use while being out and about rather than before bed. My boyfriend even enjoyed this cream and would use on him face and neck after shaving since he is very prone is redness, dryness and cuts after shaving and he said this helped soothe those areas.

Effectiveness is top tier
The texture and effectiveness reminded me of aquaphor. I really liked the nice packaging. Ingredients were okay. But I just couldn’t get over the scent. I am also pregnant so I have been a little sensitive in that area I hope it is just that.

The original Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream was
I really wanted to like the original Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant, but I just couldn’t get past the earthy, heavy scent. I’m not a fan of strongly fragranced products, and unfortunately, this one wasn’t for me.

Perfect for cuticles
I use this product as recommended and one way I love to use it the most is to use it on my hands specially on my cuticles it leaves my hand moisturized with that stock or oil filling. I also use it to shape my brows when I’m on the go and just want to tame down my brows.

Excellent Skin Protection and Multi Purpose Cream
This cream has an unusual odor, however it fades fairly quick. I love this because not only does it have a creamy base but it also contains SA which gently exfoliates and keeps pores clear so you do not have to worry about acne. This is an excellent skin protectant and truly stood the test of time. The texture is more like an ointment for reference.
