Need to be ironed and too big

I normally love percale sheets. But these were coarse and wrinkled horribly after being washed in warm water with a mild detergent and dried in a warm--not hot--dryer. They had to be ironed before putting back on the bed. I purchased a queen size and have a deep firm mattress, but the fitted bottom sheet was too big. I'm donating them.

Thank you for your review. We do want to clarify a few important points for future customers. Percale is designed to feel crisp and breathable, not silky, and it naturally wrinkles more than sateen or microfiber. The care instructions for this set recommend washing in cold water and drying on low heat with prompt removal. Washing in warm water and drying on warm heat, even if not “hot,” will increase wrinkling and can change the hand feel of the fabric.

Regarding fit, the fitted sheet is intentionally designed to accommodate a range of mattress depths, but if your mattress is on the lower end of that range, you may experience extra looseness.

This set performs best when cared for as directed and is ideal for customers who prefer true percale, crispness, and breathability. EJH_ADMIN

Came in short

I have a 15" deep mattress, and the fitted sheet did not fully cover my mattress. It was short. There was about 2" off from the bottom.

Feels like sandpaper

Very rough fabric. Cheep finished edges. Pillowcases feel like sandpaper on my face. Not worth the cost even on sale.

This weave is loved by many for its hotel-style feel, but it can feel firmer or more structured than sateen or microfiber, especially before a few washes. That said, softness improves with each wash and the long staple cotton we use is chosen for both durability and performance over time.

As for the finish, we use classic tailored hems consistent with premium percale bedding. If you’re looking for a smoother or silkier texture, you may prefer a sateen weave instead.

Crisp 3 Cool 4

I’ve been ordering Ella Jayne sheets for a long time. I used to receive really crisp sheets but they are not so much anymore. I think they are thinner than they used to be. I still like them and will keep ordering them.

I bought these sheets like 7 months ago. I have used them 3 times and they already ripped. I wouldn’t recommend them

Ripping can occur if the sheets are exposed to rough washing cycles, sharp edges on the bed frame, or high heat in the dryer, especially over time. We always recommend washing on a gentle cycle with mild detergent and drying on low heat to preserve the fabric's strength and longevity.
