The bottom is nice. Thick stainless steel, but the sides are very thin. Needs to be thick stainless steel all over for even cooking. I didn't use them. Just open and will return. All-clad is known for their quality, But the Emeril set is poor quality.
Disgrace to be called All-Clad
The only thing this has going for it is that it is inexpensive. But like everything else, you get what you pay for. Burns easily, everything sticks. I would not recommend this at all.
So disappointing!
I initially bought these for my grandparents last Christmas (2012) as I thought they were a great deal and under the AllClad name. I bought them for myself last Spring when I moved into a new apartment and I dread having to use them. Come to find out, when I was complaining about them to my grandfather he had the exact same complaints except that he didn't have the heart to tell me how disappointed he was. Not only does our food or the sauces burn (and, yes, we know how to cook), but they are impossible to clean. I have pots that have permanent stains that I have tried to remove with every stainless steel cleaner out there as well as soap and water, of course, and I have one in my sink that has been sitting for 2 days in water and soap and is now soaking in Soft Scrub with bleach. I have told several friends to not even consider using the product and am mad at myself for throwing away the box after getting them. Otherwise, I'd march myself into Macy's and beg for at least a store credit. They are honestly horrible.

Beautiful and functional...
No problems whatsoever. Unlike other reviews, I have had no issues with sticking when I cook the food correctly and at the correct temperature. I believe it is user error as I have cooked with Cuisinart stainless and experienced similar dilemmas when I make cooking mistakes. I shopped for cookware sets for a while to find a nice set at a reasonable price. This one fit the bill and is a set that I anticipate I will have for a long time. The quality seems to be very high and they heat very well. The measuring marks on the pans and lid strainer are nice additions.
