Disappointing dress

I ordered this dress as a white/ivory option for a casual wedding next year. The silhouette was exactly what I wanted (cinched waist, flared skirt, sleeves), and the sale price was appealing. Unfortunately, it arrived in poor condition and appeared to be a store return. It was folded messily in a taped plastic bag, the buttons were fastened inside out, and there was green staining around the buttonholes from tarnished buttons, which is very noticeable on an ivory dress. The fabric also has a subtle tonal floral jacquard pattern that isn’t shown online, so it doesn’t look truly solid in person. Fit-wise, I sized up for my chest, but while the bust fit, everything else was too large, with long sleeves and excess fabric. Also, despite being listed as lined, only the skirt is lined. The top is very sheer and not appropriate for a wedding, even a casual one. Overall, it had potential, but the condition, fit, and fabric details made it a miss for me.
