New formula is horrendous

To say the new formula is a disappointment would be an understatement. Watery, poor coverage that doesn't last. Customers notice when companies cheapen their products to save money; especially the loyal ones. Add me to the growing list of people boycotting this awful new product.

I love the New Formula!

First, I just want to say that the new Double Wear is completely different from the original. So if you are hoping it is going to be the same , you might be disappointed. I however, am completely ecstatic over this new product. For my skin type, the original Double Wear was the only thing that I could use, as other products did not compare. But I still had some issues with my very complex skin type. This new formula has everything I needed. I am acne prone with dry skin and an oily T zone. Also, I have redness and fine lines. It was so hard to find foundation that would be perfect and also have skincare benefits. I was aware before I purchased that the new version was not going to be full coverage and was more watery than the original. I decided to try it anyway and I am so happy that I did! I learned that it is buildable so you control the amount of coverage that you get. For sheer to light coverage, I use one layer or apply with my sponge. For fuller coverage , I found it best to apply with my fingertips rather than my sponge and let it dry in between layers. The color is slightly different, but in my case, I found that it matched my skin better than the original. In the past week, since using this product, my skin has improved significantly. I have had no breakouts, my skin is clearing up, it is hydrated and radiant. There is an overall plumpness to my face. This did not settle into my fine lines, but rather made me look and feel more youthful. It literally lasts all day on me. I had lots of compliments and people wanting to buy this product after asking what I was wearing for face makeup. I feel that this should be an addition to the Estée Lauder makeup line though, rather than a replacement for the original double wear because of the differences in coverage.Also, some people may not be looking for skin care in their makeup. But for me, the new Double Wear is literally meant for my skin and I hope that Estée Lauder continues with this product for years to come!

I hate the new formula

I don't recommend the new formula it's nothing like the old formula I loved how the old formula covered everything made my face look flawless I got so many compliments with this make up and this new one is way to watery the coverage is not the same and it definitely doesn't last as long as the old formula I can have the old formula on all day no issues my make up would look great and I definitely don't get the same affect with this formula after so many years I think I will be looking into other foundations this is not worth the money

BRING BACK THE OLD FORMULA

I have been using the foundation for years and loved it. I tried the new formula for the past couple days and it is horrible! Not the same shade, looks orange and caked, smudging off on my glasses and wearing off and spotty. I will have to switch brands. Paying premium price for the same result as drugstore makeup is unacceptable.

Foundation makeup

I recently purchased and received "The New" double wear foundation makeup and noticed it was different than all previous purchases, the new type stays wet and doesn't dry whereas the previous formula did dry. I much preferred the original type.

not happy with new formula

This new formula is terrible! My face is so oily now and my face is breaking out. The new formula doesn't stay fresh all day anymore. Please listen and read your loyal customers feedback back. I feel like most of us are complaining about the same issue. Please bring back the original formula!

Perfection!

I do not know what all of the negative reviews are about. This formula has the best of the old with amazing improvements. Yes, it is a little thinner but you still get great coverage. It is a more skin like finish and it is stunning. I think with time more people will agree.

Terrible

Thanks Estée Lauder. I will begin searching for a new foundation. The new and improved version is anything but impressive. My color has changed and the ladies at the counter have tried to find a new 2N2 that isn't a horrible shade of yellow. Coverage is not what it used to be. And it certainly doesn't have the staying power it once did.
