Private collection

I have been using Private Collection since the 80's. Estée Lauder stopped carrying it for a while and I had to switch to something else. I was devastated! Ironically, I started wearing it just after my son was born, and they stopped carrying it right after he died. I was ecstatic when it returned and I have been purchasing it since. I read some of the one star reviews indicating that they feel it's a different formula. I agree that it is not quite as strong, but I still love it. I have always gotten a lot of compliments when I wear it. Mostly that it has a cleans smell. I will continue to purchase it as long as they carry it!

The Classics

This is my favorite Estee Lauder fragrance. I've been wearing it regularly since 1981. I smelled it on a coworker, and I've been hooked ever since. It's very sensual.

Who at fashion show mall thought this was a good.

I ordered Estee. You sent me this new fragrance and charged me? This smell is harsh at first spraying. I’d would not purchase new parfume.

Favorite scent of all time

I have used this continuously since 1978. Every Christmas the perfume. 5hen would get the lotion when it became available and the dusting power was magic! Little glimmers on your skin. Private Collection can't be discontinued because Estée Lauder herself had that written into the contract when the company was sold.Forever my favorite ❤️

The formulation changed

I bought this as a Christmas present for my wife. Unfortunately, she immediately noticed a different scent from what used to be her favorite perfume. Searching online, it appears they changed Private Collection's formulation such that it does not have the same scent. There may be valid reasons for the reformulation, but it should not be sold with the exactly the same name as the previous version.
