Great little air fryer
I have heard so many good things about the health benefits of using an air fryer, and yet procrastinated buying one. The Galanz Air Fryer was perfect for my first step into air frying. Not too big, not too small! I've cooked everything I could get my hands on. Works great on frozen foods, fresh vegetables (especially asparagus, small sweet peppers) - I even baked a small cake!! Saves time as cooking times are generally faster than conventional methods. No grease needed - saves on calories. I refer to this as an entry level fryer only because of it's size and the lack of options on time and temperature. The sliding control for temperature has a range of 180 - 400 Farenheit and the time function is a rotating knob (like an egg timer). So it does pose a small challenge knowing exactly what the cooking temp. and timer setting you need. If your recipes require exact temperature and time measurements, you may need a fryer with digital readouts. Otherwise, I'm having a blast trying my hand at air fryer ownership and can't wait to try many, many more recipes. Goal: to prepare a complete meal - hors de ouvres to dessert in my air fryer. I would highly recommend the Galanz Air Fryer.

Worked Well Until It Didn't
Galanz Retro Air Fryer in Red: Pros: Cooked food quickly and easily. Shuts off when taking basket out to check or turn food. Convenient to have for 1-2 people. Good starter air fryer. Awesome for heating up leftovers, especially Chinese takeout food. Nice red color. Cons: Hard to set the exact temperature with the manual dial unless you use the highest or lowest temperature. Same with the timer. Not a deal breaker. Biggest Con: The product stopped working after about six weeks of regular usage for one person. Basically just reheating food and cooking frozen appetizer type foods. The timer still works but no light, no fan, no heat.

Love the Red Color!
I love the look of this air fryer. I like that it is NOT touchscreen or full of fancy dials. There is a simple sliding knob for the temperature and and a revolving one for the timer. It's simple and goes nicely on my kitchen counter. It works great, too!

Great feautures
I received the Galanz Retro Electric Air Fryer to try for free in exchange for my honest review. The first time I used it I wasn't sure about the settings but it's very easy to use and in my experience when I used the temperature or time recommended in the user book it took why too long to cook. Don't be afraid of the Retro Design you will find the Time Knob and Temperature Knob are easy in no time.

My favorite kitchen gadget
When I first got it, I thought I'd only use it a couple of times a year, but I have definitely proven myself wrong. I use it at least once a week and the recipes for it are endless. The color looks great and I love having it on my counter and people see it and always comment on how good it looks. Easy to use and I plan to buy one for my sister for her birthday. I recommend it for sure.
