Other occasion to buy:I feel this should be for an older child, maybe 13 and up.

Difficult

This Clay Art device was difficult for my 10-year old to maneuver. It is difficult to hold the finger in the correct position while rotating the item.

Need more power

This pottery wheel was nice but seems like it was lacking power. Maybe, it was just the fact that I have never worked with clay before. It seems the clay was either too hard or too wet. It was very easy to bog down the turn table. It seemed to hold up well and was fun but the pot looked very funky. I like the fact the the turn table becomes a paint pallet. It was fun to use and I did receive this product for free for my honest opinion. It is great starter kit for a child.

Messy but so fun!

Easy to use! Super safe for children. It was easy to assemble. It definitely seems durable and will likely last for years to come. My 7 yr old and I both used it and really enjoyed it! We are waiting for our pieces to dry then we will paint them.

Okay introduction to clay, not gonna last!

The intention of this product is awesome. It's a cool way to get your kids into pottery. However, it was made with super low quality plastic making it not durable and i have low expectations on the longevity of it. My boys, 9 and 12, loved trying it out and it inspired them to want to try it on a real pottery wheel which is pretty cool. It comes with three molds, clay carving tools and paint as well.
