poor backing on the Givenchy earrings

I bought the Givenchy earings last week and have worn them 2 times, the backing came apart and I lost the post, so disappointed - I just loved the look and how they sparkled, I got several compliments wearing them. I have the receipt and am Contemplating taking them back.
