Crushed advent calendar with melted chocolate ever
This was a terrible idea. I’ve always had prompt, professional and easy Macy deliveries, but this was one of the worst! These chocolates not only came late in the middle of December when advent calendars are supposed to be early, five of them were fully melted inside the box which I can’t understand because the rest of them appeared to be fine. Five of them were completely crushed and smeared all over the rest of the box! Never again. And apparently Macy’s has a policy where food or chocolate items cannot be refunded or EXCHANGED , which is a pretty crappy policy when something is so egregiously defective.
Good chocolate but had to replace item at own cost
The advent calendar itself was well received and I would recommend. I was however a bit disappointed that the recipient found the first one I bought ( online) had at some point melted and re-formed so it did not look appealing. ( I had stored it in a cool dry location after receiving it, but had not opened it, of course as it is an advent calendar I was gifting.) When I contacted Macys I was initially told it was out of stock and then subsequently was told I could not receive a refund as I had bought it a week before the extended Christmas return policy had started. I ended up repurchasing this same item at our local store as a replacement.
A little gift everyday!
A delicious Godiva chocolate in each day box provides both the fun of an advent calendar (searching for the day) and the surprise of which chocolate you'll get. Great as a gift and great for yourself to get through the busy and usually stressful season. The types of chocolates are printed on the back. For anyone who loves Godiva!

Do not order
DO NOT ORDER THIS ONLINE! More than half of the chocolates were ruined, and of course Macy’s wouldn’t let me return or exchange it for a new one. I’ve ordered it directly from Godiva before, and they did a much better job of packing it. So either buy in store or directly from Godiva.
