Better design then original

This is so much better than the original. Having the buttons accessible on the back is huge. Love the clock feature!

Want to love it more

I have 3 Hatch products, so I like it enough- I just wish I could like it more! We started off with the Hatch mini which is no longer sold. Did the job for two years, no complaints. We upgraded to the Rest 2nd Gen when my first born got a little bit older, and bought another one for my second child. I have been less happy with these. I feel like the app is not very user friendly, and the audio is finicky. I recently trialed Hatch+ for the story feature and have been excited about the potential but ultimately disappointed. Some stories are loud some are incredibly quiet (within the same "album") the interface to browse the stories and songs does not make sense to me, and the length listed for the audio is not accurate or helpful. It's not super easy to edit the routines to add in a story. I wish there was a time scrub so I could see how much time was left. I wish there was a way to queue another story or queue the bedtime routine to start without having to completely disrupt and edit the established routine. I do think the app could be great with a few tweaks, but I'm not sure if I will continue with Hatch plus once the subscription is over. Overall, a sound machine in our bedtime routine is necessary, and this one is just fine for this purpose.

Sound goes in and out constantly

Light works fine but the sound machine part goes in and out constantly. I’ve restarted the machine per the website and made sure the WiFi is good, however it still happens. Have no idea how the sound machine can’t stay at one level

I love my Hatch. So

I love my Hatch. So easy to use, especially with the app. Easy to program different sounds and colors. I really like that I can program the clock display to go off and back on at specific times. Would highly recommend Hatch.

Ruined

The Hatch Rest used to be my favorite product and I recommended it to everyone. Not anymore. There is no middle ground option between the small travel size Hatch or the WiFi equipped version. The WiFi equipped version is awful. It doesn’t stay reliably connected and doesn’t have reasonable functionality if it isn’t connected to the internet and being managed (poorly) through an app that’s buggy. I’m returning my Hatch Rest + and, I guess, using my travel Hatch until I can find a different sound machine for my baby. The only reason I’m giving it two stars is because the sound quality IS good, but also because no one takes 1 star reviews seriously.
