Knotted mess

I love the look of the anklet however I gs e spent numerous hours trying to unknot it with out any luck. I am getting frustrated to the point to where I may just throw the anklet away. It came in a long baggy and was already knotted unpin delivery. Why not out it around a piece of cardboard or something to prevent knots from forming?
