These plates go great with my daughters China. She left love the blue color to accent her white plates trimmed in navy blue.
I registered for the set for my wedding, and just used it for the first time. Its beautiful, sturdy and classic but easy to add color with the accent plates (Im in love with them) Pair well with lexon eternal gold glasses and silverware. Very happy with this set!
I received the navy and gold dot plates as a wedding gift to go with Harmony House Marquis China that I already have and it looks absolutely amazing. These Kate Spade plates are super high quality and are just stunning.
Received this as a wedding present and have used them once. This is a wonderful china set. Very classy and stylish. Different and yet classic. Good quality. Wonderful option for those looking for china at that in-between price.
I am obsessed with this china! I inherited china from my grandmother after I got married so I didn't feel the need to register for my own set. I thought that until I found this pattern. It is just regal looking and sophisticated. You can't do better than this!
I absolutely adore this Kate Spade collection, but my husband get's all the credit for finding it. As a Navy officer the Library Lane pattern had a nautical theme that my husband was instantly drawn to. He selected this pattern for our registry and convinced me that we needed to have a full set of this china pattern on top of the china we received as a gift from my grandmother. Fortunately the navy blue and gold stripes are simple enough that they mesh with the set of 1950's era gold star china I have, so at bigger dinner parties we can use both sets together. The gold on the Kate Spade plates is not overly shiny. It has a muted appearance to it that stops fingerprints from showing while still retaining it's regal appearance. It's also part of the reason that they look so nice with my vintage pieces. Each place setting came in a sturdy pink Kate Spade box with packaging that is easy to re-pack after use. If you plan on moving, and you have space, keep all of the boxes and package material. Not one of our plates, cups, or saucers broke in the move.
To be honest, I'm not really the "formal china" sort of person but when I registered for my wedding, I felt that I should register for a set anyway. I didn't want anything frilly or boring and when I saw this collection, I just knew it was it! The simplicity of the navy and gold rim is gorgeous and chic (and IMO, gives more punch than the silver library lane pattern) and the navy polka dot accent plates look incredible when all put together with the dishes. The set is untraditional and not cookie-cutter but still very classic. I'm thrilled with this set and am so happy I decided to go for the formal china in the end :)
It looks sophisticated, but not as whimsical as typical Kate Spade is! It didn't knick the dish when I accidentally knocked the plate on the edge of the countertop, so I was happy with that.
