It's too bad

Originally this was a Mother's Day gift, but when I received the shoes, I found that the sewing thread was loose and cracked, and the filling inside was exposed. I took it to the Union Square store in San Francisco and planned to exchange it for another pair. , but the salesperson said it was out of stock. I checked Macy's Apps and found that there was still a lot of inventory inside, but why didn't the employee refuse to exchange with me? Is this what I get the service at Macy’s? Very disappointed I won't buy anything here again
