I have used this serum on and off for about 4–5 years in the past without any major issues. However, after purchasing a new bottle earlier this year (2025) and using it again, I experienced a very serious skin reaction. My skin became irritated with intense itching, redness, burning around the eyes, eye swelling, and skin peeling. At first, I didn’t suspect this product because I had used it before. I continued using it, thinking the reaction might be due to a seafood allergy. I even had blood tests and a skin-prick test done, which confirmed I am not allergic to food. After stopping the serum for a few months, my symptoms improved. To be certain, I patch-tested the serum on my arm, and the same reaction occurred — redness and itching that lasted almost two weeks. This experience was very distressing and took a long time to identify. I’m sharing this to warn others, especially those with sensitive skin, to be very careful and always patch-test, even if you’ve used the product before. Formulations or skin tolerance can change over time. This is my personal experience, and I hope it helps others avoid a similar situation.
