Replacement for a 40+ year old appliance!

I purchased this about a month ago to replace an old workhorse appliance that was originally my mum's! My new Kitchenaid Variable Speed Hand Blender is a fantastic replacement and is a quality product which is what I wanted! Hopefully I'll be able to pass mine on 40 years times! I love the colour matches my stand mixer too❣️

Convenience!

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This immersion blender is so convenient to use versus dragging out a blender. I am not disparaging other kitchen tools, it's much easier to grab the immersion blender from a drawer and it doesn't clutter my counter.

I have been looking for this product, and it was on SALE!!! I love KitchenAid products, too! I could not wait to use it when I got home. I was thrilled it came in the color red, because it matches the color scheme. It was meant to be!

Why Did I not get One sooner!

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I received this handheld a little more than a month ago. All I can say is why did i not realize bout these sooner. It has replaced my blender and my older regular beater. I have used it to finalize mashed potatoes, made cream of potato soup with it, have made cream of vegetable soup with it. It will not quit either. Even my regular blender had issues making some of the soups. And handy?? The unit stores in a drawer and the removeable mixer attachment makes cleanup a breeze. Plus using the variable speeds and being able to go right into the pot I used to cook in....

Handy

I tried it for the first time in the new year and the black plastic protective attachment broke into small pieces thus I have to pour the entire smoothie into the waste. I wasn’t applying undue force and the smoothie was banana, yogurt, cut up dates and milk. I wasn’t expecting a brand new appliance to fail so quickly. Now I use it without the protective cover..other than that, it seems to work fine.
