Works Well, BUT...

The primer keeps your makeup in place but it is a little dry. Your makeup does not apply very smoothly over the primer.

Always a favorite for me.

I apply the Pure Canvas Primer Illuminating prior to my tinted moisturizer or foundation, depending upon the weather and season.The Pure Canvas is something I will always purchase!

I compared my most recent purchase Laura Mercier Pure Canvas Primer with the same product I had previously purchased from Macy's and I was shocked to see that the size "shrunk" from 1.7 ounces to 1.0 ounces. The price however increased despite the smaller size.

Very sensitive skin

I’m a senior woman who developed facial acne/rosacea . Over the years dermatologists & facial masseuses recommended products that didn’t cure/relieve. Friend gave me her 1/2 empty tube simply to help smooth skin before applying makeup. Who knew .... The red itchy rash disappeared after a couple of weeks! Thank you for this wonderful product.

Great Primer for dry skin!

As I’ve aged, my skin has become dry. During the middle of the day, my foundation would begin to look cakey. I’m 57 and have tried many different primers. Laura Mercier’s is very hydrating and a little goes a long way. I also have sensitive skin and the primer doesn’t burn or make my skin red. It’s now become a staple in my makeup regimen!

Great product

Love this primer. It’s light weight and smooths out the skin nicely. I am disappointed that they have reduced the amount of product to half in the ttne but kept the same high price as the original product. Not okay!
