My Little Farmer Loves It!

My three year old loves playing Hide-n-Go Moo. She reaches inside the barn and tries to guess the animal by telling us what she feels. SHe also enjoys matching the mommy animal to the baby animal. I like that the pieces are big so I don't have to worry if baby sister gets her hands on anything. Plus it is very durable and definitely built to last.

Perfect For Toddler's Little Hands

I love how cute this set is. It's the perfect size for my toddler. I love that it's the perfect toy to take with us on the go. All the little animals fit right inside so we only have to carry one toy but get to play with a set.

My daughter really loved play peek-a-boo game and trying to find certain farm animals. She had fun matching farm animals with their sound and their body.

Excellent for Sensory Skills

The main play is to place the animals inside the barn and use sensory skills to identify each animal by touch. There is a vinyl flap on the top which is easy for little toddler hands to go in and out. It doesn't scratch up Kenzie's hands either. She definitely enjoys hiding her animals in the barn to quickly finding them again. The size of this toy makes it very portable and clean up is a breeze as you just place the animals inside the barn for nap time.

Great for toddlers!

We love the adorable barn with 4 mommy (or daddy) animals and 4 matching baby animals; horse, cow, duck, and pig (though we'd love to have even more animals). Vinyl flaps over the opening at the top of the barn keep kids from peeking to see what animal they're grabbing out of the barn. This game offers many ways to have fun while learning, such as practicing animal sounds, matching, and big vs little. It also enhances tactile and sensory awareness. It was fun to watch my toddler reach in and show total shock and excitement at what he pulled out. At 2 years old he knows his animals and animal sounds, but it was still fun to encourage him to make the sounds of the animals as they appeared from the barn. I tried getting him to tell me which animal he felt and guess what it was before he pulled it out of the barn, but he wasn't always interested; Being a typical 2-year old, he was willing to cooperate at first when I tried getting him to do things with the animals- like matching up the mommy and baby animals- but after a few minutes he was ready to just play with it all. It's been great for learning play AND free play, and I love knowing he's safe with it because of the larger pieces! *I received this product free of charge to facilitate my review. My thoughts are my own, honest opinions.*

Great Toddler fun

The Hide N' Go Moo is a fun sensory toy for children ages 2 to 4 years of age. It is made up of a hard plastic barn with a vinyl top. The vinyl top is a slit opening to reach inside the barn. It includes 4 mommy (or daddy) and 4 baby animals. There are cows, pigs, horses, and ducks. The animals are made of a smooth hard plastic. There is an obvious size difference so you can tell which is the adult animal and which is the baby. The animals are perfect size to grasp in little hands. This game can be used in many ways. The animals can be sorted by size or by family. By placing the animals in the barn they can be pulled out to discover which you found. Also, by reaching into the barn a child can search for a certain animal based on feel or guess which they have found based on feel. I really like the versatility of this toy. It really is simple, but we have so many options on ways to play. The barn and the animals are all well made and sturdy. This toy will last for many years and because of the great quality of everything Learning Resources makes I am sure it will continue to look brand new just as long. I am excited to continue to use this to teach my toddler about animals. The barn can also be used to put other things inside for sensory play. I have not tried it yet, but I plan to also use the barn with my soon to be kindergartener for letters, shapes, and numbers. I will probably use his magnet letters and hide them in the barn and have him guess which ones he grabs when he reaches in by touch. While I was teaching I used to sing a fun ABC song with Old MacDonald. Pretty much it was, "Old MacDonald had a farm e-i-e-i-e-i-o and on his farm he had an A, e-i-e-i-e-i-o, with an /a/ /a/ here and an /a/ /a/ there, here an /a/, there an /a/, everywhere an /a/ /a/, Old MacDonald had a farm e-i-e-i-e-i-o". It is a fun way to teach letters and their sounds. I think by adding the letters inside the barn and pulling them out one at a time we can sing the song with which ever letter we pull out.

Cute!

This is a cute little barn game. The animals fit in small hands and many learning activities including naming baby animals and their sounds. I do wish it had even more animals to the set. *I received this item for free to review on my blog. All opinions are my own.
