Lenox Chirp All Purpose Bowl

Wish I could say I received this Lenox Chirp All Purpose serving bowl; but I did not. Instead I received a small salad bowl.....not happy.

How could it be any better?

This bowl was a warranty replacement. A chipped CHIRP bowl came out of my dishwasher. I notified Lenox. They replaced it for free, including shpping.

gets hot when microwaved

I purchased this solely because the web says porcelain will not heat up in the microwave. I wanted something that would heat up the contents of the bowl but not bowl itself. Tested my new bowl today with soup, the bowl got very hot. So, i'm not happy with the product but will keep them since wife likes the pattern.

Some of the finest bowls I've used.

It is more than a little disappointing that this line has been discontinued. The bowls are the perfect shape, and hold up brilliantly in the microwave and the dishwasher. The Chirp pattern adds a little burst of colour and brightness without being garish, allowing it to match with a great many decor styles. We had the misfortune of breaking one (which isn't all that easy, as it's fine bone china), and discovered that items in the Chirp line are near impossible to come by now. This is easily the finest and most usable daily pattern we've seen from Lenox. No metal rims, so no microwave worries. The glaze is brilliant in the dishwasher, and it's far sturdier than any stoneware you might try. The perfect every-day dishes for elegance and reliability.
