LG microwave MVEL233F

Had last MVEL233F microwave only 2-1/2 yrs and had to replace it with another MVEL2033F microwave. All my appliances are LG with disappointed with this one. Maybe just a lemon?

Nice microwave, but has a loud noise when it first

Every time you start the microwave, it makes a louder then usual humming buzzing noise for the first second don’t know if this is normal or not, and if anybody else has experienced this problem.

It works!

I have had this microwave for about a month. It works fine and seems very powerful, but there are a few things I don't love about it...first off it's very difficult to see the control panel unless all my kitchen lights are on - I have a darker kitchen - the option for backlight would be nice. Another issue is the door is very wide and I've hit my head a few times opening it. I do love the sleek look, but would probably opt for a handled door the next time.

Not worth it

DO NOT purchase this item. LG only gives you a year warranty and I have had mine for 2 1/2 years (6/30/23) and it no longer works. The inside light bulb went out within 2 months and it is a pain to replace. Not a huge deal. But the sensor cooking started to go about 6 months ago, giving me a F4 error code. Then the microwave just stopped cooking before the timer was up. We have done all the trouble shooting with no luck but to either pay for repair or purchase a new unit (NOT LG). It is also supposed to be fingerprint proof... it is NOT!

Has a nice look. Has a great exhaust fan. I was not trilled with the glass turn table sticking out passed the bottom og the microwave and the part that sticks out fits into the door. Not happy ther is only one light about the stove which is not that bright and it is very hot, it even heats the inside of the microwave.

Almost perfect

Works fine but I wish the touchscreen was backlit so it would be easier to see the selections. It also would be nice to have a second shelf and a brighter light illuminating the area below the microwave.

Broken product delivered, not intalled

I just received my new microwave and it showed up with a broken power cord/plug. The installers took one look at it, said it was unsafe, and refused to install it – which I completely understand. I paid for a new appliance and installation, but instead I’m left with a useless microwave sitting in my kitchen and have to wait for a replacement or repair. This should have been checked before it left the warehouse. Very poor quality control and a huge inconvenience. I expected much better.
