Not bad at all
Getting this 75-inch beast out of the box is a two-person job, unless you have a wingspan of seven feet and a death wish for your lower back. Once it's mounted, though, the "QNED" hype actually holds up in daylight. The screen gets aggressively bright—like, "squinting during a snow scene" bright. If you mostly watch sports or play games in a sun-drenched room, this panel is a powerhouse. The colors pop without looking like a cartoon, and the 120Hz refresh rate makes modern consoles feel buttery smooth (no judder or ghosting, which is rare for a screen this size). But here is the reality check: this is an edge-lit panel, not a high-end OLED or Full Array Local Dimming set. When the room goes dark, the flaws show up. You will see vertical columns of light (blooming) when a bright object moves across a black background, like a loading icon or a flashlight in a horror movie. It’s not a dealbreaker for casual TV, but if you’re obsessed with "inky blacks," you’re going to be disappointed. The blacks are more of a dark gray, and the backlight struggles to keep up with complex dark scenes. Then there’s the "Magic Remote." It’s basically a Wii controller that lets you point and click at the screen. It’s faster than clicking through menus with arrows, but the scroll wheel feels a bit flimsy, and if you accidentally nudge the remote, the cursor pops up on screen and ruins the immersion. Also, LG’s menu system is becoming 30% settings and 70% advertisements for streaming services I don’t use. It’s a fantastic display for the daytime crowd, but movie buffs might find the backlight limitations distracting.

Not bad at all
Let’s be real, at 75 inches, this thing is less of a TV and more of a new wall in your house. The QNED tech isn't just marketing alphabet soup; the colors are genuinely vibrant without looking radioactive. It’s incredibly bright—if you have a living room with a lot of windows (like I do), this screen fights off glare like a champ. Motion handling is also smooth; watching fast-paced sports doesn't turn the players into a blur fest, which is a relief given the screen real estate. However, if you’re a movie purist planning to watch thrillers in a pitch-black room, temper your expectations (spoiler: it’s not an OLED). Because it uses edge-lighting, you are going to see some "blooming" or gray haze, especially around white subtitles on a dark background. It struggles a bit to get those deep, inky blacks, turning them more into a dark charcoal. It’s perfectly fine for 90% of content, but in dark scenes, you can see the backlight working overtime. The interface (WebOS) is snappy enough, though it feels a bit like a billboard with all the suggested content cluttering the home screen. And the Magic Remote? It’s a love-hate relationship. Waving it around like a wizard to control the mouse cursor is fun for the first ten minutes, but sometimes you just want a regular button press without calibrating your wrist. It’s a fantastic daily driver for a bright family room, just maybe not for a dedicated "cinema cave."
