VERY UNHAPPY WITH QUALITY AND SERVICE
I purchased the Martino sectional as a floor sample, so I didn't expect it to be perfect. However, within 4 days the leather was peeling and scratched easily. I was told by the salesman that it was made of top grain leather and they didn't sell bonded leather in the store. I don't know what it is made of, but I've never seen quality like this. When I tried the chat line for a repair kit they recommended the 888 number, where I couldn't find an option to speak to anyone. Then, my online question was answered with another recommendation to chat or call the 888 number. I never expected this kind of service from Macy's. Very disappointed!
Sofa wear is not acceptable!
Have had this sectional under a year...Seams where stretched by sitting....the leather color is wearing away and seam looks white. Everywhere you sit, every wrinkle,... the color is wearing away leaving white lines in each area. The factory and extended warrenty(don't buy it) won't cover anything...Useless....I am shocked by the fact that Macys wouldn't stand behind their product...Don't waste your money...This sofa won't stand up and must be made of very inferior leather or bad finishing methods!
Poor quality, worthless warranty
This was purchased as a housewarming gift from my parents, who purchased a warranty as well, Realizing my dogs could potentially cause some damage, about a week later I upgraded to the Ultimate warranty. Fast forward 3 years later- what I initially though was "patina" in a couple of leather seat cushions is clearly faulty, peeling bonded leather. They look terrible. After multiple calls to make a claim (there was constant misinformation about whether I could make the claim or my mom had to since she purchased it), I ultimately submitted a claim on the phone and was informed that the damage was not covered because it was not "accidental". Also they had no record of the upgraded warranty that I purchased, for which I now have to track down the original paperwork. Interesting to note, had I accidentally BURNED my sofa, it would be covered. But manufacturer's defect or poor quality- not covered. This is the last time I buy furniture from Macy's. If you think the low price is too good to be true, there is a reason for that.
Low modern profile
Love this couch because it is versatile and durable (we have 4 kids). It has a low profile which is nice because it does not look or feel bulky in the room and allows a nice sight line past/over the couches out the windows. This makes the room feel bigger. The couches are very comfortable.
Super Comfortable But Not That Rugged
Barely a year old, and already fairly beat-up. First thing that happened - within the first week - was the pillow zippers broke, but no big deal, so the back cushions fall down constantly. I can live with that. Secondly, visible wear began showing within the first month. Granted, I have big dogs - 3 of them - which sleep on the couch, but I thought if I paid enough for good-quality leather, we'd have furniture to last a lifetime. Wrong. I also purchased the Worry-No-More 7-year guarantee, but they denied my claim due to having pets. Doesn't it say "covers pet damage" in the original contract? Yeah, well good luck with that. Let's hope I get reimbursed for that after 7 years. Admittedly, though, this sofa is the most comfortable out of all the furniture we tried - and we sat on every single couch in the entire showroom. I really have no regrets, the sofa is super comfortable for watching TV, lounging, or even sleeping on. And my dogs love it.
Love my new sectional
Great white glove delivery, looks awesome in my living room and the leather feels soft, supple and like it can take a beating.
Nice looking not durable
We purchased this sectional a few years ago from a Macy's Home store. The sofa is very comfortable and the leather was very soft. The leather began by wearing away at the seems and showing the stitching within months of purchasing. I expected better quality and durability for the price.
Excellent quality sofa
This is a great sofa. The leather is top quality and it is constructed flawlessly. I never liked when the threading was in a high friction area so after a few years the threads would wear out. Not the case with this sofa. It is actually better that I expected however the tan is a bit darker that the image, but I think it actually looks better in my living room. I am 6'1" and I can extend both ways fully. So there is plenty of room. On the long side I have at least a foot to spare. Two things that I really care about in my home are a top quality TV and a top quality sofa. Now I have both. Couldn't be happier.
